I am an adventurous cook. I like to experiment with new recipes and share food with my friends. Lately I've been creating pantry items from scratch – bacon, condiments, canning tomatoes, making jams, etc. I love to celebrate the bounty of Oregon, and appreciate friends with farms, gardens and fruit trees who graciously share and sell bushels and pounds of whatever's in season.

In our house, sometimes referred to as "the vortex," we've also built a pretty sweet kitchen that's perfect for gathering and cooking togther, which we do often.

So I started thinking there are so many people out there who might be interested in learning more about making their own foods as well. With a group it's always more fun, and we can share the costs and the work.

Tanya's pantry was born! So, join us one of these months to learn a little, share a little and laugh a little. And go home with a little something special – fresh, local and homemade.

Email me if you'd like to learn more, want to sign up, have suggestions, or have any questions. See you soon in the kitchen!
